James has been nominated for the Women's Super League's Player of the Year award, along with fellow Lioness Niamh Charles. Their Chelsea team-mate Guro Reiten has been nominated too, as have Arsenal's Katie McCabe and Tottenham's Martha Thomas.
Arsenal's Kyra Cooney-Cross, Chelsea's Agnes Beever-Jones and Spurs' Grace Clinton have been nominated for the Young Player of the Year award. James has history of winning major prizes, having been named PFA Young Player of the Year for 2023.

The nominations for the male awards have also been announced; Arsenal duo Declan Rice and William Saliba have been given the nod for Premier League Player of the Year, along with West Ham's Jarrod Bowen and Tottenham duo Guglielmo Vicario and Pedro Porro. Men's Young Player of the Year also has five nominees: Chelsea's Cole Palmer, AFC Wimbledon pair Ali Al-Hamadi (who has just joined Ipswich) and Jack Currie, as well as Spurs duo Destiny Udogie and Pape Matar Sarr.

One female player has been nominated for Goalkeeper of the Year: West Ham United's Mackenzie Arnold. She is up for the prize alongside her male counterpart Alphonse Areola, Vicario, Fulham's Bernd Leno, and Crystal Palace's Sam Johnstone. Manager of the Year takes in a variety of names: Emma Hayes, David Moyes, Ange Postecoglou, Mikel Arteta and Leyton Orient's Richie Wellens are all in contention.
