While most of his clubmates were sweating it out with their respective national teams in the European Championship or the Copa America, the forward was preparing himself for the next campaign away from the public glare in the Norwegian woods. In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), Haaland showcased his summer training routine, which included chopping wood, hiking in the mountains, and meditating by the water.

Haaland is back at Etihad for pre-season duties and during a routine medical checkup, he humorously admitted that his father, Alf-Inge "Alfie" Haaland, who also played for Manchester City, Leeds United, and Nottingham Forest, was behind this rugged training regimen.
"Cutting woods in the mountains is the most Erling Haaland thing I've heard," remarked the cameraman, to which Haaland responded with a laugh, "My father forced me, I didn't have a choice."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Since joining Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund for £52.1 million in 2022, Haaland has made a significant impact as his arrival has coincided with an era of remarkable success for the club. In the 2022-23 season, Manchester City achieved a historic treble, winning the Premier League, FA Cup, and their first-ever Champions League title. This triumph was followed by a league title and League Cup double in the 2023-24 season.
